He’s won 29 of his past 32 matches and arrived in Paris on a nine-match winning streak, having not dropped a set since his US Open final defeat to Rafael Nadal. Daniil Medvedev wins maiden ATP Masters 1000 crown
The Russian survived cramps to win his first Masters 1000 title with a 7-6(3) 6-4 win over David Goffin in the final of the Cincinnati Masters 2019.
Medvedev saved two break points while serving for the match at 5-4 in the second set before winning the next four, three of them with aces to close out his Belgian opponent.
Daniil Medvedev winning Shanghai Masters
Having entered the tournament in the form of his life, the Russian star was the hottest player on the circuit. He claimed his second Masters 1000 trophy by beating Alexander Zverev in the final. This was his first meeting against the 22-year-old and the Russian came out on the top with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1.
The third-seeded Medvedev picked up his third title in six consecutive finals played since the tour returned to hard courts after Wimbledon in July.
Daniil Medvedev lifts St. Petersburg trophy
Medvedev won his sixth career title as he beat Borna Coric 6-3, 6-1 in the final of the St Petersburg Open. Before entering the final against Borna Coric, he had lost three consecutive matches against the Croatian. This time around, the world number four showed supreme consistency across both sets, with Coric unable to claim a single breakpoint.

He may have lost the final to World No 1 Rafael Nadal, but he won the hearts of the fans at Flushing Meadows. Medvedev showed heart and skill in abundance to fight back from two sets down before Nadal claimed the 7-5 6-3 5-7 4-6 6-4 thriller that stretched 4 hours and 50 minutes.
