Federer and Nadal coach Fognini, fans love this part more than tennis
Federer and Nadal were seen mentoring Fabio Fognini in the ongoing edition of Laver Cup where Team Europe took on Team World. Fognini lost by 6-1, 7-6.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are two of the finest and the biggest names in world tennis. The duo have 39 Grand Slams between them. Federer has a record 20 Grand Slams while Nadal is just one short of equalling the Swiss icon's feat. He currently has 19 Grand Slams. The die-hard tennis fans are well aware that both the stalwarts of the game are fierce competitors on the field but good friends off it. We have seen the two take on each other in some high-octane blockbusters over the years but ever wondered what would happen if both of them were in the same team? Well, they are on the same page in the ongoing Laver Cup.

Federer and Nadal mentor Fabio Fognini
Both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal play for one team in the Laver Cup which commenced on Friday. The veteran players were seen mentoring World No. 11 Fabio Fognini during his singles match against Jack Sock as Team Europe took on Team World. Fognini seemed to be a bit carried away and stressed out and while he was taking a water break, both Federer and Nadal came forward to encourage him with their wise words. Federer told the Italian to focus on his game and urged him to ignore negativity and urged him to be positive.
"Believe in the good thing", said Federer.

Meanwhile, Nadal was was heard giving encouraging in Spanish. Unfortunately, the legends' advice went in wait as Fognini went down to Sock in two consecutive sets 6-1, 7-6. The video of this unique moment was posted by Laver Cup on their official Twitter handle.

Nonetheless, Federer took his revenge later in the men's doubles when he teamed up with Alexander Zverev to beat the team of Jack Sock and Denis Shapovalo 6-3, 7-5 in straight sets.

All the matches which feature Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are always a delight to watch. After all, who can forget Federer's respect and words of motivation for his Spaniard rival after the former had emerged victorious in their Australian Open final back in 2017?
"Tennis is a tough sport there are no draws if there were I would have been happy to accept one and share it with Rafa", said Federer.
"Keep playing Rafa. Tennis needs you," he added.
