Kevin Anderson to miss the rest of 2019 tennis season post knee injury

Kevin Anderson, the tennis player from South Africa, is set to miss rest of 2019 tennis season post knee injury as he has to recover before gearing up for 2020.

Kevin Anderson,  South Africa tennis player, anunced that he will be missing tennis season for rest of year. He anunced his decision to put a hold on his game post his knee injury. Anderson after consulting a team of professionals concluded that correct course of action would be to give body rest it requires. He ded that his injury needs time to heal, refore, making recovery period extremely essential. Anderson is set to miss rest of tennis season to prepare himself for 2020.

Kevin Anderson faces a setback 

Anderson h earlier skipped US Open as a consequence of his knee injury. 33-year-old tennis player has t played a match since his loss to Argentine Guido Pella in third round at Wimbledon. Anderson was also kwn to struggle with a right elbow injury from earlier this year. Since playing  Maharashtra Open in Pune in January, Kevin Anderson has mand to only perform in four tournaments so far. Those include  Australian Open and Wimbledon. In men's singles rankings released by ATP on September 9, Anderson was dropped to take 18th spot.

Rafael Nal defeated Russia's Daniil Medvedev with score of 7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4 at Arthur Ashe Stium in Queens, New York City. This captured Nal's 19th Grand Slam title. 33-year-old Spanish left-hander took home prize of $3.85 million. With this victory, Nal is only behind Roger Federer's all-time record of 20 Grand Slam singles titles. vak Djokovic, who is 32 years old has a total of 16.
