Anor controversy for Djokovic at Australian Open 2021
However, with crowds now gone due to snap 5-day quarantine imposed in Melbourne, Djokovic has h some trouble coping with empty stands — something he has been struggling with a little during pandemic. In an incident similar to one that took place at Rome Masters last year, Djokovic h a complaint about crowds at Rod Laver, even when re weren't any. More specifically, Djokovic was concerned about placement of official photographers covering his Round 4 match against Cana's Milos Raonic.
Just after second game of match, Djokovic could be heard asking chair umpire “Why are photographers standing behind?". He also ded that “it’s not ir place, y’re supposed to be out re or on side” implying that y should not be seated in direct eye-line of players. While photographers stayed put, Djokovic quickly regrouped to take first set and n match, 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. This incident has once again, evolved into a much-hyped up controversy.

Novak Djokovic injury update and controversy
Anor new talking point surrounding world No. 1 is injury he picked up during his mammoth five-setter against Taylor Fritz in his Round 3 match. Essentially not very different from Rafa's lower-back injury — which kept him from playing during ATP Cup but has h no effect on his level of play at Australian Open — Djokovic's injury has prompted people to brand him a 'liar'. All this because he has managed to play his games relatively well despite claiming that he may have to pull out of Slam altoger.
