Novak Djokovic is a delight to watch inside the court. The current World Number 1 has been at the top of his game from the start. One would expect Djokovic to be solely dedicated to his game. However, recently, Novak Djokovic has been gaining popularity for his impersonation skills. He is known to impersonate everyone from colleagues, trainers, etc.
Novak Djokovic is a professional tennis player from Serbia. The Association of Tennis Players has currently ranked Novak as the World Number 1. He is the first-ever Serbian player to do so. Ever since Novak debuted into professional tennis in 2003, he has won over 16 Grand Slam titles. On a record-breaking spree, he has won seven Australian Open Titles, five Wimbledon titles, three US Open titles and one French Open Title.
Due to his extroverted personality, Novak Djokovic has featured on many shows. He also featured in a music video for Martin Solveig and Dragonette. Djokovic was also named as one of the topmost influential men by the Time Magazine in 2012. The major factor where Novak Djokovic has gained popularity is for enacting his famous colleagues. We could not resist making a list of the top three impersonations by 'The Joker'.
1. Roger Federer
Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic had a rivalry on the field since the start. Both have faced each other 46 times, with each winning the title for 23 times. Rumour has it that these two champions do not get along well off the court. Since Djokovic has faced Federer so many times, he knows his habits very well. Novak Djokovic has been so accurate in enacting Roger Federer that if you view from a distance, you might think it is the Swiss player.
2. Rafael Nadal
Rafael and Novak have faced each other in the Open Era 47 times. In their rivalry, Novak comes out slightly ahead of Rafael with 24 wins under his hat. At the Rome Masters in 2009, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal were seen bantering after the trophies were presented. During the post-match interviews, Djokovic was seen mimicking Nadal.
3. Maria Sharapova
You might be wrong to think that Novak’s impersonation skills are limited to only male counterparts. Novak Djokovic has imitated Maria Sharapova on several occasions. On one occasion, Novak also imitated the former World Number 1 with her then-boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov on the other side of the court. The act got the biggest laughs from Dimitrov himself.
Apart from tennis, Novak Djokovic is a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. He founded a social organisation which focuses on helping communities grow. Djokovic has been dedicated to social work as well. He is a gem of a person in the tennis industry. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.
