Rafael Nadal confirms participation in ATP World Tour Finals
Rafael Nadal is all set to travel to London on Wednesday to play in next week's Nitto ATP Finals despite being injured as he confirmed this with a tweet.

World No.1 Rafael Nadal on Tuesday officially confirmed his participation in the upcoming, season-ending ATP World Tour Finals which is set to begin next week. Nadal is set to reach London on Wednesday, despite widespread speculation that he wouldn't participate due to an abdominal strain that ruled him out of the semifinals of the Paris Masters recently. Throughout his career, Nadal has always qualified for the season-ending men's singles event but never won it. The Spaniard recently shared a tweet writing that despite his injuries, he will be playing in London as his practice for the event is set to begin on Thursday or Friday.

Nadal is set to play his first match of the tournament against World No.4 Alexander Zverev in his opening round-robin match. Zverev is the defending champion of the tournament, having won it last year. The match is scheduled to be played on Monday, November 11. On the same day and in the same group, i.e Group Agassi, Russian sensation Daniil Medvedev will face off against archrival Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
ATP World Tour Finals Schedule
Meanwhile, the tournament begins on Sunday, November 10, 2019. In Group Borg, Roger Federer will go head to head against Italy’s Matteo Berrettini. Federer is the most successful performer, winning the ATP finals six times. Novak Djokovic will be facing Dominic Thiem in the second clash of the day. If Djokovic triumphs this year, he will be equalling Federer’s title tally.
