Rafael Nadal confirms participation in ATP World Tour Finals

Rafael Nadal is all set to travel to London on Wednesday to play in next week's Nitto ATP Finals despite being injured as he confirmed this with a tweet.

World .1 Rafael Nal on Tuesday officially confirmed his participation in upcoming, season-ending ATP World Tour Finals which is set to begin next week. Nal is set to reach London on Wednesday, despite widespre speculation that he wouldn't participate due to an abdominal strain that ruled him out of semifinals of Paris Masters recently. Throughout his career, Nal has always qualified for season-ending men's singles event but never won it. Spaniard recently shared a tweet writing that despite his injuries, he will be playing in London as his practice for event is set to begin on Thursday or Friday.

Nal is set to play his first match of tournament against World .4 Alexander Zverev in his opening round-robin match. Zverev is defending champion of tournament, having won it last year.  match is scheduled to be played on Monday, vember 11. On same day and in same group, i.e Group Agassi, Russian sensation Daniil Medvedev will face off against archrival Stefas Tsitsipas of Greece.

ATP World Tour Finals Schedule

Meanwhile,  tournament begins on Sunday, vember 10, 2019. In Group Borg, Roger Federer will go he to he against Italy’s Matteo Berrettini. Federer is most successful performer, winning ATP finals six times. vak Djokovic will be facing Dominic Thiem in second clash of day. If Djokovic triumphs this year, he will be equalling Federer’s title tally.
