Roger Federer to compensate for cancellation of Colombia tour out of his own pocket
The 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer will compensate fans out of his own pockets for his cancelled exhibition match in Colombia.

20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer anunced on Monday that he will compensate for his cancelled exhibition match in Colombia out of his own pocket. Swiss international toured South America last week. However, third leg of his tour in South American capital city of Bogota, was cancelled at 11th hour due to riots in city.

On day of match, tour organisers walked onto court to anunce that match is cancelled. y cited security reasons behind sudden cancellation. Speaking to crowd, Federer himself stated that everyone has to be safe and careful. He said that this decision is in best interests of Colombian people. He also ded that he hopes to play in front of this crowd again.

tournament organiser Manuel Mate anunced that fans who purchased tickets won’t get any refund. He said that organisers are very s about cancellation of match and have suffered losses because of it. He also claimed that expenditure remained same but many revenues disappeared. He also stated that t every sponsor helped m by all means.

Federer to refund money
However, Federer’s nt Tony Godsick stated that tennis legend will compensate fans in Bogota. Speaking to a Swiss newspaper Ts Anzeiger, Godsick stated that Federer will attempt to put ar show on after Miami Open in March. But if that fails n 38-year-old is open to issuing a refund.
