Roger Federer wins his 1,500th ATP match in hometown Basel
The 38-year-old, Roger Federer took 53 minutes to win his 21st consecutive match at the Swiss Indoors Basel. Federer beat German Peter Gojowezyk 6-2, 6-1.

Talking to press after his win, Federer summed up match as excellent. Swiss mentioned that he h a good spring in his step and was quick onto ball. Roger Federer ackwledged his opponent’s capability. He stated that Peter Gojowezyk h put on some great performances in qualifiers, and knew match would t be easy. He especially praised German’s game against Croatia’s Ivo Karlovic.
