Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza has offered a helping hand to a 14-year-old fan who is in dire need of financial help. Anees, a 14-year-old girl from Hyderabad, was revealed to be suffering from congenital heart disease and her family could not afford the surgery that she required. The family started a fundraiser on Ketto and Sania Mirza volunteered to help on Twitter. Have a look at what happened.
Qhamar's Plea for help
The fundraiser, which is being run on Ketto, is established by Hyderabad resident Qhamar. In the description of the fundraiser, Qhamar speaks about her husband's inability to make ends meet and how the family is haunted by the five lakh rupee fee which is required for her daughter Anees's open-heart surgery. She further goes on to explain how the family feels helpless and is losing sleep over the discomfort their child is going through. She also mentions how the family has sold off their valuables and has taken loans from family and friends in efforts to meet the costs.
Mirza volunteers to help
Fundraising site, Ketto, made a tweet about the family's urgent requirement on their Twitter and also mentioned how Anees is a big fan of Sania Mirza.
The tweet took Sania's notice and she replied, guaranteeing that someone from her team would get in touch with the family. This tweet by Sania was very well received by her fans and her effort will surely bring relief the family. Hopefully, Anees can quickly get back to being healthy and maybe even meet her idol in real life.
