Daniil Medvedev crushed against Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-1 in final of Shanghai Masters on Sunday to lift his second Masters 1000 title and continue his fine run in ATP tour. Medvedev took just an hour and 13 minutes to wrap things up and win his fourth title of season. Russian, who is currently World . 4 in ATP rankings, registered his 9th straight sets victory as he has t dropped a single set since St. Petersburg Open. Medvedev has been in a scintillating form since American hard court season and has reached six consecutive finals - Washington, Montreal, Cincinnati, US Open, St Petersburg and w, Shanghai.

Medvedev's first win against Zverev
Going head-to-head with Zverev for fifth time, pressure was on Medvedev as he had lost all four encounters between m but he showed great determination and grit to register his first win against Zverev. Medvedev, who has been in a brilliant form, displayed a spectacular show as he won 76 per cent of his first serves and 50 per cent of second ones. Russian displayed great character as saved four of five break points he faced and was broken only once in first set. Zverev, on or hand, had a very dull outing as he failed to earn points with his first serve, something which has helped him throughout tour. Zverev won only 67 per cent of his first serves and won only 30 per cent of his second serves.

Medvedev, while speaking to ATP, said that, "Winning Shanghai Masters is amazing because it is one of most prestigious Masters on Tour. In past 10 years, only three players who mand to win this one, which makes it really special to have my photo in corridor over next many years." He also added that everybody wants to see new guys apart from top 4, so I gave m something new. "I don't celebrate my wins much. I just stay calm, I do my job. Boom, done," he added.
