With 13 ATP singles titles under his name, Czech Republic's Tomas Berdych announced his retirement from Tennis on Sunday after a 17-year professional career

With 13 ATP singles titles under his name, Czech Republic's Tomas Berdych anunced his retirement from Tennis on Sunday after a 17-year professional career. "Game Set Tennis Career," Berdych tweeted. He was part of Czech team that won back-to-back Davis Cup titles in 2012 and 2013. 34-year-old Berdych, who has t played since losing in first round of U.S. Open in August, anunced his decision at ATP Finals.

" feeling I went through in my last official match was one that told me I tried absolutely everything, but end result is how it is. level I was always chasing, top results, being in top positions of ATP rankings... My body doesn't allow me to do so. I always look at situations very realistically. I was standing with my feet on my ground. When I me my decision with myself and loved ones, I felt a big relief," said Berdych.

Furr highlighting on his future plans, Berdych said, " plan is t to have any plans.

" last 15 or 20 years were so hectic that I just need to brea out easily. I need to have time for myself and my family, who gave me almost everything."

"I didn't have proper time because tennis career requires being very selfish and absolutely into sport. And w I have time. Sport was my life from time I was a kid until w and I wouldn't change that, absolutely t. But if it's just going to be my profession or just as my hobby, I really don't kw. And I don't want to kw. I really just want to have every day as a clean slate," Berdych ded.

Dominic Thiem Enters ATP World Tour Finals

Dominic Thiem powered into finals of ATP World Tour finals after defeating defending champion Alexander Zverev 7-5, 6-3. Thiem will play Stefas Tsitsipas in finals on Sunday evening on vember 17. Thiem capped off a fantastic week where he defeated Roger Federer and vak Djokovic to be first to qualify from round-robin format of tournament. Thiem and Zverev were locked in first set, and winner was only decided in tie-breaker. 26-year-old Austrian was able to deal with Zverev's massive serves well and after match said that he used chance of second serves in his game.
