The killing of George Floyd on 25th May in Minneapolis sparked a global movement in over 400 cities against discrimination, police brutality and widespread lack of police accountability in the United States, which has led to scenes of chaos and rising tensions. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Cup series race saw Martin Truex Jr. win stage 1 - his first stage win of the year. However, 2014 Sprint Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick surged ahead in the final stage to grab his second victory of the season.
