US President Donald Trump slammed New Orleans Saints quarterback for apologising after his initial comments made about kneeling during the national anthem.

After receiving a swarm of criticism from sports personalities over last couple of days, United States President Donald Trump took a shot at New Orleans Saints quarterback over Drew Brees apology for his comments over national anm. Drew Brees apology touched upon 'hurtful' and 'insensitive' comments NFL star made when he was first asked about his thoughts regarding George Floyd protests. Drew Brees comment backlash: Drew Brees' response to Donald Trump
Drew Brees was called out by his own teammates including Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, and Emmanual Sanders. A number of former NFL stars including Ed Reed slammed Saints star and NBA superstar LeBron James also took aim at Brees. Brees went on to issue two separate apologies and also responded to Donald Trump for his comments indicating that issue at hand is much bigger than national flag. Brees stated that "white citizens must look into pain and suffering of African-American community".
