Tyson Fury confirms Deontay Wilder bout is OFF, hints at fighting Anthony Joshua in 2021

WBC king Tyson Fury confirmed that he has pulled the plug on his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder and hinted at fighting Anthony Joshua in 2021.

Earlier on Monday, WBC Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury confirmed that he has ditched plans to fight Deontay Wilder to complete trilogy. Multiple reports claimed that Wilder vs Fury 3 would take place later this year in December. However, it is believed that Gypsy King is w looking to fight Anthony Joshua in a clash for undisputed heavyweight championship in 2021 instead.

Tyson Fury pulls plug on Wilder vs Fury 3

While speaking to Athletic, undefeated boxing superstar Tyson Fury revealed that he was all set to fight Deontay Wilder for third time this year but has w decided to call off bout due to Wilder's camp failing to organise event in 2020. "I was looking forward to whooping Wilder's a** again quick and easy for third time but his team have constantly messed around with dates. We were supposed to fight in July but he pulled out with an injury," Fury told Athletic.

Tyson Fury n reiterated that Wilder's camp rescheduled date of fight on several occasions. "y first asked me if we could push fight later this year in December and I agreed but n y asked for trilogy fight to be moved to next year. This is when I thought to myself 'eugh is eugh' and its time for me to move on." Fury also claimed that to hold WBC Heavyweight title, he needs to remain active as a boxer.

Tyson Fury went on to state that he remains best fighter in boxing world currently and by end of 2021, 32-year-old plans to hold all heavyweight titles, hinting at a potential bout with WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO champion Anthony Joshua. "I'm lineal heavyweight champion, two-time Ring magazine heavyweight champion and WBC heavyweight champion but by end of next year, I want all belts."

Fury's anuncement on pulling plug on Wilder vs Fury 3 comes just a day after his promoter, Bob Arum, confirmed plan was for WBC champion to fight in UK in December, n face Anthony Joshua in April or May in 2021. However, WBC is yet to make a decision over Fury's trilogy fight with Wilder.
