Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson recently made an appearance on a talk show with MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani where he discussed a number of topics. It turns out that the BMF Championship belt was not the only thing that Jorge Masvidal had received from The Rock on the night at Madison Square Garden. While The Rock spoke about being the host for the title fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244, he also revealed that he took the time to congratulate Jorge Masvidal on the fight and that he was very happy for him. He also reminded him of the opportunity that is presented and how the title was somewhat polarising in the sport. The advice was mostly about appreciating the moment and encouraging Jorge Masvidal to work hard to keep his momentum going.

Nate Diaz later slammed The Rock for favouritism in a post-fight rant and had accused the 47-year-old in an expletive-laden slur over his connection with the fellow Miami-native Jorge Masvidal.
