The editor in chief of The Sports Journal, Omar Al Raisi passed the information through a tweet and broke down the various ruleset the reported match will undergo. Boxing and MMA are two different methods of fighting and Floyd Mayweather is already retired. However, the 42-year-old boxer might enter the octagon against Conor McGregor if the fight is greenlit.

According to Omar Al Raisi’s tweet, the fight will take place inside the octagon with modified rules. The fight is going to take place in the 155 lb division with four-ounce gloves to go. Since Floyd is a full-time boxer, kicks, elbows and knees are not going to be a part of the match and both the men will be allowed to spar and clinch inside the octagon. The fight is going to be co-promoted by Mayweather Promotions, McGregor and the UFC, though nothing has been confirmed yet by Mayweather, McGregor or UFC President Dana White.
