The buzz of the town these days is the mobile application Face App. Over the last couple of days, you must have come across memes on social media, making celebrities and Cricketers look much older than their actual age. That magical transformation of their looks is taken care of by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This #faceappchallenge has gone viral and now our social media pages have aged quite a lot.
Boxer Vijender Singh took to Twitter to take up the #faceappchallenge and his version of the challenge calls for our immediate attention. Singh posted then and now pictures of the environment suggesting how the environment has been depleting due to human carelessness and misuse.

Climate change is getting real and more severe with each passing day. Europe recorded the highest temperatures this year. Cape Town has depleted all their water sources and so has the Indian city of Chennai. Reports say that many cities in years to come will see a depletion of the groundwater tables. Northeast region of India is flooded and the damage recorded has been alarming.
But as the boxer said, we need to focus on the real challenges and do our bit about this erratic climate change if we want our future generations to seek habitat on this planet. We are way past the time when the environment and climate change is a conversation to political summits.
