The Indian Women's Rugby team created history as they won their first ever International 15s with a 21-19 victory over Singapore on Saturday to finish third in the Asia Rugby Women’s Championship Division 1.

It was India’s scrum-half Sumitra Nayak who handed a close win for her side in the dying minutes of the game after kicking a penalty. Meanwhile, despite having three minutes to shift the momentum in their favour, Singapore could not capitalize as India ran the ball into touch to complete the victory.

It was Annabel Woo Xui Ni who scored the game's second try as Singapore took the lead. Sumitra Nayak then went on to convert the second half penalty as India emerged triumphant.
