What happened to J.J. Watt? Why will he not play against Packers tonight?

JJ Watt is reportedly set to miss the remainder of the 2021 NFL season after he ended up suffering a shoulder injury during Arizona Cardinals' last game

Arizona Cardinals have suffered a huge blow ahe of ir next NFL game as far as ir defence is concerned due to JJ Watt's injury. Cardinals defensive end will be forced to miss his team's contest against  Green Bay Packers on Thursday because of a shoulder injury. 

Cardinals vs Packers: JJ Watt injury status

As per reports in NFL.com, JJ Watt's shoulder injury prevented him from participating in practice, and club designated him out on its Wednesday injury report where it was officially confirmed that he would not be taking part in exciting Cardinals vs Packers game on Thursday night.

JJ Watt out for season?

According to reports in ESPN as per Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, JJ Watt's shoulder injury could force him to miss remainder of ongoing season. 

At same time, it has also been reported that defensive end injured his shoulder during second quarter of Arizona Cardinals' last game against Houston Texans last weekend for which he would need to undergo surgery. Cardinals registered an emphatic 31-5 win over visiting team at home i.e.  University of Phoenix Stium.

Meanwhile, it has also been reportedly learned that JJ Watt h me an early exit during Arizona Cardinals vs Houston Texans game last Sunday but no injury was reported at that point in time. 

If JJ Watt is indeed ruled out for rest of season, n it will be a huge blow to Arizona Cardinals in ir future games as his absence will create ditional pressure on team's young defensive ends including likes of Zach Allen, Leki Fotu and Michael Dogbe. JJ Watt is a three-time defensive player of year and he h joined Cardinals after leaving Houston Texans in summer. 31-year-old was released last month on his own request after 10 years with franchise as Texans continue to be in turmoil after ir debacle last season.

Talking about Cardinals' upcoming NFL encounter against  Green Bay Packers, home team is 7-0 whereas visiting Green Bay Packers are 6-1.
