Working In Income Tax Department, Maharashtra’s Priyanka Ingle All Set To Represent India In Kho Kho

Kho Kho World Cup is set to take place in India in January next year. This is first time that Kho Kho World Cup is happening. players and whosoever are related to sport believe that global event will play a massive role in providing more popularity to game.

India player Priyanka Ingle who hails from Pune shared her journey and ackwledged how game has helped her in different ways.

“I come from Pune, Maharashtra . I stay with my parents and a younger bror. My parents are farmers. I started playing Kho Kho when I was in class V and have been playing sport for last 15 years. I used to see girls in my school practice with my coach and from re on I got inspiration to take up sport,” she said.

Priyanka who plays as an all-rounder has been a phemenal player since childhood.

“I played my first Nationals in Standard VII and till w, I have played 23 Nationals. I was awarded with Ila award when I was in Standard VIII during Sub-junior Nationals. Ila award is given to best girl player in sub-junior national Kho-Kho competition.”

“In 2022 Senior Nationals, I was awarded Rani Laxmi Bai award. I also represented India in 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship 2022-23, Assam , India where we won gold,” she ded.
India player h her own struggles in initial st of her career but it was Maharashtra Kho Kho Association who me sure that very talented Igle continues to play sport and makes it to highest level.

“Initially, I faced a bit of a challenge but my sir me my parents understand that I h talent and can really do well in sport,” Priyanka said while thanking her coach for support.  
Priyanka has completed her M.Com and w works in Income Tax Department in Mumbai. Maharashtra player is all excited to don India’s jersey in mega event.

“See, World Cup that is happening in India is going to play a massive role in making sport more popular. re are 25 countries that are participating. It’s going to give us huge exposure. We will have more players coming up after this mega event,” she said.    

Fitness is a major aspect for any athlete and Priyanka is different. She has a fixed routine and follows it quite religiously.

“When we don’t have tournament, we work out in gym. During tournament, we have our fitness sessions in morning and ground practices in evening.”

She furr thanked KKFI members, MYAS for kind of support that y have shown towards Kho Kho and lauded Sports Science app that is helping players enhance ir skills.

“I really want to thank all members of KKFI and MYAS for supporting us and helping sport move forward. y have been doing a great job. Sports Science app is a very good a way to understand an individual’s body. It gives way more clarity about players’ stamina, fitness, strength and much more,” she concluded.
