WWE news: Cancer has ruined lives across the world and the champions within WWE have not been immune to the illness. Here are 4 wrestlers who defeated cancer.

Cancer has ruined lives across world and even champions within WWE have t been immune to illness. From Roman Reigns to Michelle McCool and Zack Ryder, all have battled cancer. But like in ir professional lives, y have emerged champions, defeating cancer and becoming an inspiration for millions of cancer patients and fans alike.

Here are four WWE wrestlers who triumphed against cancer

1) Roman Reigns

Last year, WWE's undefeated Universal Champion Roman Reigns anunced that he was taking a hiatus from professional wrestling to undergo treatment for cancer. anuncement left wrestling world stunned. Last year, Roman Reigns who was first diagsed with Leukemia at of 22, said he was battling cancer again. But Roman Reigns is t one who walks away from a fight. Just like in WWE ring, champion took on disease head-on. In February 2019, he anunced that he was cancer-free. Since n, he has returned to professional wrestling.

Bret Hart

Anyone who follows WWE religiously kws legendary Bret Hart. In 2016, Hitman revealed on Facebook that he had prostate cancer. Luckily for Bret Hart, cancer had been contained in prostrate area, and he underwent surgery to remove it. Since surgery, Hart has revealed that he has been free of disease but would require regular check-ups henceforth to monitor remission. WWE Hall of Famer w devotes time to creating awareness regarding illness and promotes regular health check-ups.

Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool is a former WWE Women's champion and wife of legendary WWE wrestler - Undertaker. WWE Diva anunced in 2016 that she had skin cancer. She took to Instagram, extolling virtues of sunscreen and advising youth to use sunscreen if y do t want to have "holes" cut into ir skin. Luckily for McCool, skin cancer is treatable, and she received appropriate treatment in time. Since n, McCool makes sporadic appearances in WWE and is keen on spreading awareness about disease.

Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder has faced several fierce battles in WWE ring, but y all seem inconsequential in comparison to his fight against cancer. former Intercontinental Champion was diagsed with cancer in high school. According to him, his dream of becoming a professional wrestler is what motivated him to fight disease. Ryder revealed that he had a cancerous growth on his foot which later travelled to his lungs and he was forced to undergo numerous surgeries and chemorapy. w, wrestler is cancer-free. He has spoken publicly about his fight with cancer and how disease has given him spirit to perform better in WWE circuit.
