On the latest episode of WWE Raw, boxing champion Tyson Fury and the 'Monster Among Men' Braun Strowman got involved in a brawl which was so hard to control that even a whole locker room of superstars could barely keep them away. Let us take a look at why the two fought.
WWE Raw: A matter of Respect
All of this started on last week's Friday Night Smackdown where Braun Strowman was involved in a fight while Tyson Fury watched as a guest from the sidelines. In the middle of the match, Braun Strowman walked to Tyson Fury and teased him a little before sending a flying Dolph Ziggler his way. After Ziggler hit Fury, Fury was startled and pushed back. Braun went on to win the match and in that moment, Tyson Fury jumped the barricade and tried to make his way towards Braun Strowman before security interrupted and kept the two away.
WWE Raw: Tyson Fury wanted an apology
Tyson Fury appeared on the latest episode of Monday night RAW and demanded an apology from Braun Strowman. Braun Strowman then showed up and told Tyson Fury how he saw a look in Fury's eyes that told him that the Boxing Champion wanted to fight Strowman. The pair then proceeded to trash talk to each other before Fury mentioned how he was a heavyweight champion while Strowman was not. Braun Strowman got agitated and attacked Tyson Fury. The security officials came out and tried to separate the two. Both fought the officials and met each other again and now the matter had escalated enough for WWE superstars from the locker room to rush to the ring and separate the two. They could not be kept apart as Braun Strowman, even after being escorted out of the ring, came from backstage to attack Tyson Fury again. Their brawl extended beyond the airing of WWE Raw.
Braun Strowman vs Tyson Fury: A fight on the card?
If WWE trends are anything to go by, this feud will also be settled with a fight. This fight could probably happen at the Crown Jewel PPV at the end of this month. The yearly show in Saudi Arabia is part of WWE's efforts to widen its global reach. The show which debuted last year featured the return of Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker to the ring. Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman going head-to-head could be an appropriate successor to last year's events.
