Mike Tyson, the legendary boxer, was also a part of WWE and has given the WWE universe some iconic moments to remember. Boxing and WWE although similar are different concepts as the latter is a lot more dramatic and story-driven. Mike Tyson gave the WWE universe a memorable moment when he knocked out Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV. Tyson had been hired by DX as their Special Enforcer for WrestleMania XIV. In 2010, Mike returned to give the WWE universe another moment to remember.
First WWE match
Mike Tyson was the guest host of Monday Night RAW in an episode in 2010 and took part in a tag-team match against D-Generation X - Triple H and Shawn Michaels. This was Tyson's first match in WWE. His tag-team partner for the match was Chris Jericho. The match began and Tyson had the technical advantage on Shawn Michaels. Every time they would grapple, Shawn would get thrown away by a supremely powerful Mike Tyson.
The match moved slow as Chris Jericho and Triple H were the only ones really fighting anyway. Suddenly, DX's mascot Hornswoggle interfered during the match and distracted Jericho and Tyson. Jericho confronted Hornswoggle with Tyson behind him. DX looked like they had been saved by an angel.
Behind Jericho, Tyson took off his t-shirt to reveal the DX t-shirt he was wearing inside. The crowd were left excited as a clueless Jericho now realised what was behind him. On turning around, he encountered DX endorsing Mike Tyson. Jericho's face was enough to understand the horror he faced as he tried to reason with Tyson. Tyson wasted no time in punching Jericho and putting him out of his misery. The crowd applauded as memories of the ever-famous Wrestlemania XIV moment struck back. DX celebrated with Tyson as their iconic theme song played in the background.
