Batista On Why He Opted to Retire in Silence

Batista, who was a top name in the company, gave an unceremonious goodbye to the WWE and fans in 2019. Batista's last match was against The Game Triple H and it happened at the Grandest Stage of them All, at WrestleMania 35. Since the Animal did not announce that it will be his swansong, fans did not pay much heed to the possibility that it could be his final appearance. However, it turned out to be the case, and upon the question of why he did what he did, he made it known that he opted to depart like that.

"Wrestlers don't get to choose the way they go out. I did. I went out on my own terms, the way i wanted, with the guy i wanted i wanted to go out." Batista said in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet.

Dave Batista likes the idea of a return but wouldn't want to pull the plug on retirement at the cost of a fitting end, which he was a recipient of back in 2019.

He continued, "It's not that I don't miss it. I miss the crowd and the energy. I dream about walking out & hearing my entrance music, but I know if I do that, I'll just tarnish my storybook ending & I'm just not willing to do it."
