Just like how WWE hosts the Hall of Fame Ceremony right ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals, TNA also does the same as they recently enshrined some of the iconic wrestlers of their promotion. TNA recently hosted the Bound For Glory pay-per-view, where former WWE Superstar Rhyno and Bob Ryder were inducted into their Hall of Fame. The 2024 Class was a special one, but it could've been more special as they had plans to induct a legendary superstar of the promotion, who is currently associated with the WWE. But the Connecticut-based promotion rejected their plea.

Veteran WWE Superstar Pitched By TNA For Hall Of Fame Induction, But WWE Rejected The Offer
Rhyno and Bob Ryder were the Class of 2024 for the TNA Hall of Fame, which took place ahead of Bound For Glory. But there were more names under consideration for this year's class. As per Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp, pure TNA Superstar Monty Brown was also under consideration to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. But Matt Hardy revealed that the TNA management and officials couldn't get in touch with him. Hardy believes he is 'off the grid' and that 'He would’ve been a really killer candidate too considering it was in Detroit.'
Another big name that was in heavy consideration was WWE superstar and TNA legend, AJ Styles. Reports claim that TNA put Styles' induction plan in front of WWE, but they passed upon the chance. TNA's sources claimed that the recent injury sustained by the Phenomenal one and the ongoing storyline were among the key factors of the rejection.

Fans might think that WWE might be undermining TNA by passing o the opportunity of sending AJ Styles over to induct them into the TNA Hall of Fame. But recent history may suggest that both wrestling promotions have been in a spectacular working relationship as they featured inter-promotion matches. Stars like Joe Hendry, Jordynne Grace, Zachary Wentz and more featured in WWE matches in the NXT brand. Additionally, it should be mentioned that a WWE talent has previously appeared in TNA when The Rock sent an induction message via video during Ken Shamrock's Hall of Fame induction.
