The WWE Money in the Bank 2024 produced plenty of jaw-dropping moments to dwell over. Perhaps the biggest one is John Cena announcing his retirement from the squared circle of WWE. When it comes to the event's biggest attraction, Drew McIntyre rose to the top and won the Money In The Bank Ladder match. He later cashed in as well but an interference by CM Punk hampered his chances of winning the Heavyweight Title. Ahead of that, McIntyre interrupted the Damian Priest vs Seth Rollins match-up and perhaps became the reason for one of the most awful and unexplainable botches of all time.

Is it the Biggest Botch in the history of WWE?
As Rollins and Priest were in the middle of a one-on-one encounter, a scintillating battle between the two professionals was going on. There came a stature when Rollins pulled off his vintage Falcon Arrow and pinned Priest. The World Heavyweight champion was expected to kick out at two but he didn't move a muscle. Consequently, the referee stopped counting himself leading to a miserable botch. Had he continued to count, Rollins would have become the new World Champion. Rollins also looked clueless as to why the referee had stopped the count when Priest is still down.

Why did the referee stop counting after two?
Immediately after the botch, the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre's entrance music hit the arena. McIntyre walked to the ring and cashed in his contract making it a triple threat match. It could be speculated that McIntyre's music was supposed to hit right after the second count. But a little delay has caused one of the biggest botches that WWE fans have ever seen.
