Roman Reigns Pens Down Heartfelt Post After His Uncle And WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa'i Passes Away
There were several reports about Afa's declining health, but his family had denied all the reports and had clarified that the Wild Samoan was doing better

This has been a tough year for Roman Reigns. One of the greatest stars and heels of all time, Reigns who was at the heights of his professional life is caught in a turmoil. At the beginning of the year, the 'Only Tribal Chief', aka Reigns, lost his undisputed WWE Universal title to Cody Rhodes. After his loss to the American Nightmare, Rhodes in WrestleMania 40, Reigns took a long hiatus from the WWE.
The 'Head of the Table' Reigns, lost his father Sika Anoaʻi on June 25, 2024 and unfortunately, his uncle and his father's longtime wrestling partner Gataivasā Afa Amituana'i Anoa'i too passed away earlier today at the age of 81. Roman, who has had a longstanding battle with leukemia for years now recently made his in ring return and started a feud with his cousin and long time aide Solo Sikoa straightaway.
Roman Reigns Pens Down Emotional Post For Afa Anoa'i
Reigns has always prioritized his family and has been extremely vocal about it. The WWE Universe and all the fans of pro wrestling were hit by a truckload of emotion when the news of Afa Anoa’i Sr. passing away broke. Afa was one of the members of the legendary tag team the Wild Samoans and passed away at the age of 81.

The Legacy Of The 'Wild Samoans'
Afa Anoa’i Sr. and his brother Sika Anoa’i were a force to reckon with during 1970s and 1980s. They collectively operated as The Wild Samoans. The legendary team won three WWE World Tag Team Championships. Not only just the WWW, but 'The Wild Samoans' also left a huge impact on Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)
