Seth Rollins has had a very good run in the WWE in the last seven years. Rollins started his career by being a part of the famous stable named 'The Sheild' where he teamed up with the likes of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. In the following years, Seth Rollins also went on to win various championships in the company including both tag team as well as singles titles. Rollins, who is the reigning WWE Universal Champion has won this title twice along with being a two-time WWE Champion as well. He has also won the Intercontinental as well as the United States Championships. Lately, it seems that 'The Architect' is still dealing with the fans' hatred towards him.

Why are fans upset with Rollins?

The fans were left disappointed after a disastrous ending to the highly anticipated match between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt a.k.a. 'The Fiend' at the WWE Hell In A Cell earlier this month. It so happened that when all the attempts of Rollins pinning Wyatt went in vain, 'The Beastslayer' had to resort to the use of weapons. Rollins had brought out a ladder and used it to smash the chair which was lying on Wyatt’s head for a two count. In the later part of the match, Rollins grabbed the Sledgehammer and unloaded on The Fiend before the referee called off the match. Medics and other WWE officials ran to the ring to check on Wyatt. The crowd started chanting for AWE but Wyatt grabbed the champ with his claws. He punished Rollins for several minutes and delivered another Sister Abigail to the champ. While the fans had all the reasons to be upset on that night, they can take heart from the fact that Seth Rollins will once again be defending his WWE Universal Championship against Fiend at the WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 31 in a Falls Count Anywhere match where there are no disqualifications or count outs and the only way to win is by pinfall or submission.

Roman Reigns backs Seth Rollins

As Seth Rollins transformed into a "villain" in the eyes of fans ever since the Hell In A Cell debacle, his former team-mate and good friend Roman Reigns has come forward to back the Universal Champion. During an interview with Forbes, the 'Big Dog' asked the fans to show a little bit of respect.

“I think you should express your opinions, but it doesn’t hurt anybody if you have a shred of respect. Have a little respect for the performers who were out there killing themselves for you. I didn’t like the Hell in a Cell finish either, but I wasn’t about to cuss some guys out who got hit in the head over and over. Bray Wyatt put his health on the line to entertain some fans to the best of his ability. I didn’t like it, but I respect Bray’s effort and willingness to go out there and do what you have to do. So, if you can, just a little bit of respect", said Roman Reigns.
