WWE: Tommaso Ciampa talks about issues he dealt with before surgery
Tommaso Ciampa underwent neck surgery (anterior cervical fusion) a few months ago and while he made progress, the return of Ciampa was still not confirmed.
Tommaso Ciampa finally made his return to NXT, months after suffering a critical neck injury. After his injury, he was forced to relinquish his title and since then fans were worried for the Psycho Killer’s future. Ciampa underwent neck surgery (anterior cervical fusion) a few months ago and while he made progress, the return of Ciampa was still not confirmed. Some even thought that Ciampa will directly be shifted to either RAW or SmackDown, But Ciampa denied all the rumours. This came out to be true when Tommaso Ciampa made his return against Angel Garza this Thursday.
Tommaso Ciampa: Issues he dealt with before his surgery
While talking to WWE, Tommaso Ciampa revealed that before he got injured he used to tell himself that he has a ‘crappy neck’ and used to not focus on the small pains. But the pain kept getting worse and when he got injured during the match, he started getting a lot of stingers. He said that it was like a shock down his arm. But later the symptoms got weird, he was not able to open his pinkie and ring finger of his left hand, and the fingers used to get shaky when he used to open them. He was also not able to like down straight and when he used to lie down for an hour his hands used to get numb.

WWE NXT: Tommaso Ciampa’s return
Tommaso Ciampa came to the ring on Thursday to set an example out of Angel Garza as he will face NXT Champion Adam Cole in the upcoming PPV. After getting knocked out last week, Garza demanded a match against Ciampa. The match started with both the opponents getting a moment to shine, but Ciampa came out on top. After the match, The Undisputed Era came to the ring in hopes to destroy Ciampa. But, Ciampa was ready with chairs and his iconic crutch. The era then moved out as Ciampa stared at the NXT Champion Adam Cole.
