For the first time in nearly a decade, CM Punk will return to the WWE ring. The Second City Saint returned to the biggest wrestling promotion in November, surprising his fans with a post-credits cameo at WWE Survivor Series. Punk has made his comeback goal apparent in the weeks since. His objective is to main-event the upcoming WrestleMania. And to breach the threshold, Punk has announced that he will be part of the official "Road to WrestleMania" i.e., he will be one among the 30 entrants in the WWE Royal Rumble match.

Punk's most likely dancing partner for a main event 'Mania bout is WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, but before he can receive a shot at the champ, Punk needs to win the Men's Royal Rumble, and in order to be successful there, Punk needs to get his feet wet. Later this month, he will face Dominik Mysterio at a WWE live event at Madison Square Garden.

Punk posted an image of his black tights with red Chicago flag stars and blue trimming on his Instagram Stories in a now-deleted post. Punk captioned the pic "LFG" and tagged the official WWE and Madison Square Garden accounts.

When is CM Punk's in-ring WWE return scheduled?

It should be noted that CM Punk is scheduled to make his in-ring debut at the iconic Madison Square Garden. It will be a live event where the self-proclaimed "Best in the World" will return to his wrestling gear. He will take on Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio at the show. As for the date, CM Punk vs Dominik Mysterio will happen on Boxing Day i.e., December 26, 2023.
