WWE could be forced to take a break after WrestleMania 36 due to coronavirus outbreak

WWE could be forced to take a hiatus after WrestleMania 36 as Florida has issued a strict lockdown for 30 days. WrestleMania 36 is scheduled for April 3 and 4.

WWE is currently gearing up for ir biggest pay-per-view of year, WrestleMania 36. Despite country-wide lockdown in United States due to coronavirus outbreak, company continued with ir weekly programmes from empty arena at Performance Center. However, latest reports suggest company is considering 'taking a break' after WrestleMania 36.

It was initially reported that Florida Goverr Ron DeSantis issued a 'stay-at-home' order throughout state. It was believed that Performance Center which is in Orlando, Florida would find it difficult to shoot ir weekly episodes under latest state guidelines. On Wednesday, multiple publications in US broke news that company could be forced to take a break after airing WrestleMania 36.

According, to WrestleVotes, company will go on a hiatus after Showcase of Immortals and could even avoid airing pre-recorded WWE tapings. It is believed that WWE officials are discussing a plan to navigate past lockdown in Florida to keep hiatus as short as possible. However, it remains unkwn if company has a backup plan if y are t allowed to film at Performance Center for an extended period.

WrestleMania 36 schedule

WrestleMania 36 is scheduled for April 3 and 4, 2020, and will be broadcast on WWE Network. A whopping 16 matches have been confirmed for two-day PPV. Some of major matches at show will be Brock Lesnar defending his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, Undertaker vs AJ Styles, John Cena vs ' Fiend' Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton vs Edge. Women's Division has equally thrilling match-ups confirmed like Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley for NXT Women's Championship and Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler for RAW Women's Championship.
