During a recent appearance, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, better known by his ring name RVD, talked about Vince McMahon reviving ECW under WWE's umbrella in 2000 era. RVD while speaking on entire WWE and ECW saga revealed how he witnessed McMahon's decision to bring back ECW to destroy it. RVD not only spoke about Vince McMahon but he rar he accused McMahon and called out his ways of destroying competition.

When WWE brought ECW back, several times re could have been taken as evidence that y were just bringing it back to destroy it. I mean Vince [McMahon] was wearing belt, and y changed all OG’s with New Breed… To me, y were making a statement re, and I know Vince didn’t like it when fans would chant ECW during his shows when some of us [that] are represented were in ring.” says Hall Of Famer.

Extreme Championship Wrestling was introduced in 1994 by Paul Heyman. iconic promotion was folded in 2001 but again was revived in same year as a WWE brand. Vince McMahon purchased ECW assets in 2003 and in 2005 began introducing hardcore organization through content, merchandise, documents, and pay-par views. ECW operated as a full brand from May 2006 to Feb 2010, featuring weekly ECW on a Sci-Fi show.
