WWE legend John Cena confirmed on Wednesday that he will never retire from the WWE. According to the 42-year-old 'Cenation' leader, WWE is home and family to him and he is in no mood to hang his WWE boots ever. The 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion has been receiving questions regarding his retirement for some time due to his growing age and reduced workload.

In a recent interview with an American media daily, Cena said that he would give his life for the WWE. However, he advocated the need to evolve, grow, and change. The 16-time WWE champion, who has been a fixture on the WWE since the Wrestlemania XX in 2004, said that he did not want to get to a point where he disliked what he was doing, and for this, he believed evolution was the key. Sources said that Cena has an immense impact on the WWE viewership but refused to confirm if he is going to return to SmackDown shortly.

Cena also said that professional wrestling was extremely addictive because it made him feel relevant and vital. He further noted that pro-wrestling also filled voids that several professional wrestlers did not know existed in their lives. Since the job pays so well, wrestlers get attached to the financial security as well, Cena said. Cena has acknowledged that he is not as energetic as he was in his prime. He said that his body is not immune to advancing years and has become a little slower and lighter. Cena said these signs attributed to his reduced workload. However, he wants to be part of the WWE family still.

Hollywood career
Meanwhile, Cena has an alternative career in Hollywood, which is flourishing. He essays a starring role in the latest release Playing with Fire, which also stars Keegan Michael Key and John Leguizamo. Cena said his WWE experience helps while choosing the script. He added that if he liked the script, he automatically knows that he will give his best performance.
In the movie, Cena plays the role of Jake Carson, who leads an elite group of firefighters known as smokejumpers. Cena hopes fans of his wrestling will enjoy Playing with Fire and is confident that he has brought the same energy to the screen as he brought into the ring.
