lawsuit filed over Randy Orton’s tattoos in WWE 2K20 video game seems where close to finding its conclusion and jury has given a new trial date. According to reports, new trial date is slated on June 1, 2020 at 9 AM instead of previous date which was slated on April 27, 2020. lawsuit was filed by Randy Orton’s tattoo artist Carine Alexander and she charged WWE with copyright infringement of her work.

WWE: New date for WWE lawsuit
According to Carine Alexander, she did e tattoo work on ‘ Viper’ between 2003 and 2008. She furr claimed that all applications to copyright ink designs were submitted in March 2018 before filing lawsuit on April of that same year. Alexander furr added that inked designs on Randy Orton’s body are her original works and she never gave WWE permission to duplicate or reproduce those tattoos in WWE 2K game.
According to reports, WWE offered $450 to tattoo artist Carine Alexander when she contacted WWE about material featuring Orton’s tattoos being sold in 2009. However, Carine turned down offer and didn’t want WWE to reproduce her designs. re have been a lot of attempts in settling down matter but thing came out fruitful for WWE and tattoo designer Carine Alexander. trial was pushed back originally to 2020 after original presiding judge retired.

It is good news for Viper's fans that Randy Orton is t a defendant in lawsuit and he won’t be facing any legal trauma. copyright infringement filed by Carine Alexander goes against WWE, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., 2K Games, Inc., 2K Sports, Inc., Visual Concepts Entertainment, Yuke’s Co., Ltd. And Yuke’s LA Inc. However, Carine has taken a dig at Randy Orton too and claimed that Orton doesn't have ownership of designs inked over his body.

“Mr Orton does t have ownership in copyrights asserted herein and has authority to and did t grant permission for Defendants to commit acts complained of in this Complaint.” Said Carine Alexander.
