WWE Crown Jewel debt finally paid off by Saudi Arabia amid chaos

According to WWE Co-President George Barrios, the company was supposed to get the “outstanding” $60 million receivables before September 30, but they didn't.

It’s been almost a week since WWE Crown Jewel took place in Saudi Arabia, but controversy surrounding PPV is far from over. WWE Crown Jewel was headlined by Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez along with fantastic match-ups between boxer Tyson Fury vs Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins vs ‘ Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. But one of biggest events of Saudi Arabia didn't go smoothly as WWE cut feed to event as country had failed to pay company for broadcast, according to wrestling commentator, Hugo Savivich.

According to many, Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman allegedly retaliated to WWE’s move by delaying ir plane which was supposed to take almost 175 superstars back home. Because of delay, many superstars were t able to arrive on SmackDown which led WWE to create new storylines. According to WWE co-President George Barrios, company was supposed to get “outstanding” $60 million receivables before September 30, 2019, but country was t able to deliver it on time. However, in recent interview, Barrios has revealed WWE has got all money from Saudi Arabia. WWE also anunced that y will keep on doing two shows every year in Saudi Arabia.

WWE superstars revolt against WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

Many WWE superstars who were left stranded in Saudi Arabia after Crown Jewel PPV on Thursday, arrived safely at JFK Airport following afteron. flight which superstars were scheduled to board, reportedly faced a major mechanical problem and as a result, many of m were unable to make it to Friday night SmackDown. However, WWE superstars are in revolt mode after WWE CEO Vince McMahon left m and flew back to States in his private plane. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, many WWE Superstars felt deserted in Saudi Arabia after Vince McMahon left with his staff on an earlier flight. However, it is still unkwn wher WWE Chairman knew about flight issue before living in a private jet.
