WWE addresses the Talent, clarifies rumours
In the reported meeting that included WWE talent and Vince McMahon, the talent was given information about the happenings that led to some of them remaining stuck in Saudi Arabia after Crown Jewel. The WWE reportedly blamed the talent for its speculative opinions that fueled the rumours about a falloff between the Saudi Prince and WWE. It was also being reported that WWE superstar Seth Rollins spoke up during the meeting and gave a leader-esque speech to the talent urging them to keep locker room information away from social media.
Rollins has come forward and clarified that he did not make a speech at the meeting and that he is not supportive of misinformation being propagated. Seth explained that the meeting was held by Vince McMahon and Triple H to commend the talent for positively handling their Saudi Arabia delay. Seth also added that the talent was allowed to field its queries and opinions in what could be called a 'productive forum.' Seth further tweeted a reply to another journalist's report on the meeting.
What went wrong?
There have been several speculative reports about WWE's failing relations with Saudi Arabia. The issue which was reported to be one of financial nature had reportedly led to the Saudi prince detaining WWE talent in Saudi Arabia for more than 24 hours after Crown Jewel. This was said to be a reaction to Vince reportedly cutting off Saudi Arabia's Crown Jewel feed because of unpaid dues.
