The SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley has been taking the WWE by a storm since the debut of her new persona in October. Bayley won back the SmackDown Women's title from Charlotte Flair on the October 11, edition of SmackDown after losing it to her at the Hell In a Cell PPV. In an interview with an American sports portal, Bayley has talked about her recent persona change.
The fans do not deserve the heroism of Bayley
Bayley, who has started sporting a much more serious look by cutting off her trademark ponytails, talked about how the change in her look has not changed who she really is. Bayley maintained that it is only her attitude that has changed. She added that she has given her all to the fans but has not received any support in return.
Bayley mentioned how none of her fans reached out to her after she lost the SmackDown Women's title to Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell. She mentioned how fans always want her to prioritise them but have failed to show up whenever she has had a tough time. On the October 11 edition of SmackDown, she even had a verbal altercation with some of her fans.
No love for the WWE
Bayley also lashed out on the WWE management for the disrespect that she has been shown. She talked about how, statistically, she is the hardest working woman wrestler in the country but she gets shown no respect by the company. She hinted at her momentum being cut off by the WWE top brass and also talked about how she got attacked by Shayna Baszler twice but Shayna and Becky got the hype for their match at Survivor Series.
She even referred to how the WWE will not even give her new plates for her Women's Championship belt. She currently sports plates which depict her older character and Bayley has had to modify her belt's plates to depict her new character. After winning all the four Women's titles in the WWE, Bayley became the first WWE Women's Grand Slam champion. Bayley prophecised that among the many mistakes the WWE has made, underestimating her would be their biggest.
