WWE SmackDown Results: Cody-Roman Meet in Georgia Tech, as the Bloodline Wreak Havoc in Main Event

Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The latest episode of the Blue Brand featured all the build-up to the upcoming PLE, Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia. Brand's top superstars like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Andrade, The Bloodline, Bayley, Naomi, Nia Jax & more were featured on the show. WWE SmackDown: Results

• Andrade el Idolo vs. LA Knight (c) ( WWE United States Championship): LA Knight wins by pinfall with the BFT, retaining the WWE United States Championship.
• Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci: Apollo Crews wins by pinfall with a flash pin.
• Bayley & Naomi vs. Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton (Tornado Tag Team Match): Bayley & Naomi win by pinfall with a double pin on Nia Jax.
• Kevin Owens & Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. the Bloodline (“Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, & Tonga Loa): The match goes to a no-contest.

WWE SmackDown: Highlights of the Night

• We see The Bloodline's Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu causing chaos the moment they enter the building where SmackDown takes place. Fatu lost his mind and he took out a bunch of security guards!
• It looks like we are having another round of Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes after he jawed with El Idolo backstage after he lost the title match, leading to a brawl.
• Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns having a face-to-face on the Georgia Tech football field — the Bobby Dodd Stadium — and it is shown as a video package. Rhodes is a Georgia native while Reigns is a GT Alma Mater and the field is where he played football.
• After they jaw with each other, Roman cuts to the chase and asks Cody what he wants. In order to get his, Cody claims he needs his word that he will protect him. Roman squirms for a moment before telling Cody that he'll have his back but that he must realize that at the end of it all, he's reclaiming what is truly his. As he turns to walk away, Rhodes stops him, meets his gaze, and informs him that it is not his to take. Reigns moves aside as Cody tells him he's in his way, and Roman continues, saying he's in his way in life.
• Referee Jessika Carr raises both women's hands and shrugs following the Women's Tornado Tag Team match. GM Nick Aldis books a #1 contender's match between Bayley and Naomi for next week while he is backstage with them rather than a triple threat.
• The Bloodline attacked #DIY to have the numbers advantage and attacked Kevin Owens. But The Street Profits came out to aid KO as they teamed up for the match.
• After the referee called for the bell, The Bloodline continued to maul the Profits and KO. They tried to fight back, but the Tongans and Fatu were just too difficult to overpower. #DIY came out to aid them but they were already banged to beat them down. But 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes came out with a steel chair and chased them out of the ring. KO looked conflicted as he had a chair in hand, but he went on to hug Cody instead.
