Just hours before the WWE Crown Jewel event, WWE Friday Night SmackDown took place. A total of 4 fights plus some huge segments were part of the show. Thus, without further ado let's jump straight into what transpired on the night.

WWE SmackDown Major Highlights

Ahead of their fight, Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio squared off at a weigh-in segment. Things got heated up there and the master of 619 got the psychological win as he sneaked away with a slap on the Maverick. Aside from this, LA Knight and WWE Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns came face to face one last time before their match at Crown Jewel. The two went back and forth on the mic and were separated before the action could break out. Also, John Cena and Solo Sikoa had a little exchange as well, but no action emanated before the PLA.

• Kevin Owens vs Austin Theory: Ever since he has been drafted to the blue show, Kevin Owens has received a push. He entered as a favourite over Theory and indeed secured a clean win over the former United States Champion.
• Charlotte Flair & Shotzi Blackheart vs. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven: In this odd tag team match, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi Blackheart picked the win over Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. The match went on for several minutes and upon winning Flair and Shotzi have become the new No.1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles.
• Brawling Brutes (Pete “BUTCH” Dunne & Ridge Holland) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) (Good Old-Fashioned Donnybrook Match): Pretty Deadly wins by pinfall with avalanche Spilt Milk through a table on Pete Dunne.
• Bayley vs. Bianca Belair: In the main event, Bayley squared off against the EST of WWE. Belair has gotten the better of Bayley in the last few weeks and this week as well the misery of the role model continues. Belair got the win after delivering a KOD on Bayley.
