WWE SmackDown Results: Main Event Match Has a Controversial End, Tensions Visible B/W KO & Rhodes

Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The latest episode of the Blur Brand featured all the build-up to the upcoming PLE, Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia. Brand's top superstars like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, The Bloodline, Bayley, Naomi, Nia Jax & more were featured on the show. WWE SmackDown: Results

• Bayley vs. Naomi ( WWE Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match): Bayley wins by pinfall with a diving elbow drop, becoming #1 contender to the WWE Women’s Championship.
• Andrade el Idolo vs. Carmelo Hayes: Carmelo Hayes wins by pinfall with a schoolboy pin, evening the series up at 3-3.
• “Michin” Mia Yim vs. Piper Niven: Mia Yim wins by pinfall with Eat The Feet on Niven.
• R-KO (Kevin Owens & Randy Orton) vs. The Bloodline (“Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa): The Bloodline win by pinfall with a lateral press from Solo Sikoa on Kevin Owens.

WWE SmackDown: Highlights of the Night

• Randy Orton opened the show as the crowd serenaded him. He straight-up jumps into business as touches upon Cody Rhodes teaming up with Roman Reigns. The situation doesn't feel right to him and he seeks an explanation and wants Rhodes to give one. Cody arrives at the ring and presents his thoughts on Roman. Orton says it’s no problem... unless, of course, he makes it a problem. Kevin Owens's music hits as he enters the ring. But before KO could speak, the rogue Bloodline enters. Irate, KO proposes a main-event match between R-KO and against Solo Sikoa and Fatu. He also said Rhodes to focus on the challenge he will have in Bad Blood.
• LA Knight interrupted during the Haye vs Andrade VI as Melo steals the win due to the US Champion's interruption. Post-match, LA runs Melo off and Andrade angrily taps him on the shoulder and they bicker.
• Backstage, Cody Rhodes tries to talk to Kevin Owens but the latter is in no mood to talk at the moment as he has a match in place. He also urged the champion to not interrupt during the match. But Orton tells him to use his judgment if the Tongans get involved and it ends up being 4-on-2 and says he’s gonna go talk to Kevin about it.
• Tiffany Stratton approaches to make fun of Naomi for her defeat. Tiffany gets upset when Naomi says she's going to get a match against her next week and will speak to GM Nick Aldis.
• Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes argue in the ring after the match, with Randy Orton attempting to mediate the situation. They end up hugging as the show goes off the air.
