The highly anticipated WWE draft took place on last week's episode of SmackDown on Fox which opened with the WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins taking on his former Shield ally Roman Reigns in a match to determine which brand gets the bragging rights over the first draft pick.
WWE draft: Here is how it unfolded
Both superstars went all out to secure a win for their respective brands. With Seth Rollins looking to capitalise towards the end of the fight as he set up Roman for a Stomp, The Fiend Bray Wyatt made an ominous appearance from beneath the ring canvas and struck with a Mandible Claw whilst dragging Seth Rollins to hell. Seth Rollins narrowly escapes as The Fiend descended back into darkness.
This led to a disqualification win for Seth Rollins, and Raw got the first pick, courtesy of 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt.
Here is a statement made by 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt on Twitter after the attack on Seth Rollins:
WWE: The rivalry continues
'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt, who last competed at Hell in a Cell, withstood multiple Stomps and chair-shots from Rollins before a rare referee-stoppage for extreme violence. While The Fiend came out strong by the end of the night, the ending left most fans disappointed, who were supportive of Bray Wyatt’s new evil heel character, was, in fact, the coolest thing to have come out of WWE in quite some time now.
While there is no official announcement as of yet, a rematch between these two athletes is expected to take place at the WWE Survivor Series 2019 Pay-per-view event at the Allstate Arena in Illinois.
