WWE SummerSlam 2023 results: Roman Reigns gets unlikely help, Cody conquers beast Brock

Here are the results for the most anticipated WWE event of 2023, SummerSlam. After notable stars gave impressive performances, it was a success.

Logan Paul made an intriguing request to the management before tonight's WWE SummerSlam premium live event at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. To successfully make it to Dallas in time for his brother Jake's eagerly awaited boxing battle against Nate Diaz, he requested permission to wrestle in the evening's opening match.  The WWE Summer Slam started with huge success.

Logan Paul vs. Ricochet

Logan Paul's match with Ricochet turned out to be an exciting battle. Both contestants put on a great performance for the audience, showcasing their agility and abilities. But when someone put brass knuckles on Paul's hand, the fight took an unexpected turn. Paul saw an opening and took advantage of it, striking Ricochet with a strong right hand to end the fight.

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar

Cody Rhodes showed incredible tenacity in a massive encounter with Brock Lesnar. Rhodes fought back tenaciously against Lesnar's relentless assault, landing multiple Cross Rhodes to knock the Beast Incarnate unconscious. In an unexpected turn of events, Cody beat Lesnar by pinfall, claiming the hard-fought victory.

Match: Battle Royal

In the Battle Royal, LA Knight displayed strength and prowess by defeating Sheamus with a belly-to-belly maneuver and clothesline. When Kross stepped in, Sheamus took advantage and eliminated Styles. Reed and Gable eliminated five contenders, leaving only LA Knight and Sheamus in the competition. Miz thought he had eliminated LA Knight, but Knight actually eliminated him. LA Knight and Sheamus were the only remaining competitors after Sheamus defeated Grayson Waller. But LA ultimately prevailed.


Winner: LA Knight

Shayna Baszler vs Ronda Rousey

Shayna Baszler defeats Ronda Rousey at WWE SummerSlam after a competitive match by securing a Kirafuta Clutch, resulting in a TKO. Ronda tries to put on an armbar, but Baszler shows off her power by deadlifting Ronda and breaking the hold. Shayna, though, seems to have hurt her arm in the tight struggle.

Winner: Shayna Baszler

Gunther (C) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE Intercontinental Championship Match)

Gunther displayed his aerial skills during a spectacular match, sending McIntyre flying into the top rope. As both superstars traded chops, showing utter desperation to claim the title, the tension increased.

With a Claymore Kick, McIntyre came dangerously near to winning, but Gunther resolutely kicked out, just maintaining his championship reign. With a powerbomb in retaliation, Gunther earned the three-count and kept the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor (World Heavyweight Championship)

Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor after a fierce struggle. Rollins used a cunning move to divert the referee by bringing the MITB briefcase into the ring. Rollins took advantage of Balor's attempt to crawl over the briefcase by landing a crushing Stomp to win the match.

Asuka (C) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair (WWE Women's Championship Triple Threat Match)

Bianca Belair won the WWE Women's Championship in a thrilling Triple Threat match after beating Asuka and Flair while injured. Her joy, however, was short-lived as the Money in the Bank chased in, and IYO SKY emerged as the new champion, defeating Bianca Belair. IYO SKY demonstrated her outstanding talents and athleticism by performing an Over the Moonsault on Bianca Belair and making the pinfall to win the title.

Roman Reigns (C) vs. Jey Uso (WWE Universal Championship)

Roman Reigns defeated his cousin Jey Uso to successfully defend the WWE Universal Championship in an emotional and suspenseful contest. The two participants showed remarkable tenacity and resolve throughout the contest. The bout included a number of powerful moves, like Roman Reigns' Superman Punch and Drive-By and Jey Uso's Uso Splash. Roman's edge in strength, nevertheless, was essential to holding the contest in his favour. Jey was heavily beaten by Solo Sikoa as Roman Reigns lost his grip in the match, but Jey was successful in fighting back.

In an unexpected turn of events, a mystery man—later identified as Jimmy Uso—appeared and attacked Jey Uso. Roman Reigns was able to capitalise on this unexpected interference, win the match, and pin Jey Uso with a Spear through a table.

In the aftermath, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman exited the arena, leaving a confused and heartbroken Jey Uso in the ring, concluding SummerSlam 2023.
