Yoel Romero signs multi-fight deal with Bellator after getting released from UFC: Reports
According to various reports, UFC veteran Yoel Romero will make his Bellator MMA debut in 2021 and would compete at the light heavyweight division.

After Yoel Romero was released by UFC a few days ago, Bellator MMA expressed its disinterest in signing Solider of God. However, it looks like Scott Coker and Co. later h a change of heart as y recently came in terms with MMA veteran, who turns 44 in April. According to ESPN, Yoel Romero will make his Bellator debut in 2021 and would compete at light heavyweight division.
Romero will join Anthony “Rumble” Johnson on list of recent talent acquisitions by promotion and MMA fans all over world are salivating over idea of a possible bout between two former UFC powerhouses. While both fighters competed in UFC for years, y never came face-to-face, as Yoel Romero was a top middleweight star, while Johnson spent most of his time in light heavyweight division. However, w that two are at same weight category (205 lb at Bellator MMA), a fight between two is all fans are looking for.

While talking about Yoel Romero at UFC Vegas 16 post-fight press conference, Dana White me it clear that money was t reason behind Romero’s departure. UFC supremo claimed that Solider of God is a 43-year-old who has lost four of his last five fights. He also ded that company is “very inflated right w” and would make some major releases by end of 2020. “We’re going to go through some serious cuts here at end of year. Probably going to have 60 cuts before first of year,” he ded.

Anthony Johnson, on or hand, who has fought major UFC fighters like Daniel Cormier, Alexander Gustafsson and ors, left UFC to return to Bellator MMA. His manr, Ali Abdelaziz later confirmed news, calming that Rumble could make his much-awaited Bellator return in 2021. “Anthony has signed with Bellator MMA and fans can expect to see him in late March or April. He will fight at heavyweight and light heavyweight,” Abdelaziz told ESPN.
