R Praggnanandhaa maintained his strong momentum against Magnus Carlsen as the second game of the Chess World Cup final ended in a draw. On Tuesday, both players agreed to play it out the first game as a draw after 35 moves. The match will now be heading towards a tiebreaker which will take place on Thursday.

Both players lost their knights pretty early in the game and it took at least 30 moves before the players settled for a draw. Carlsen has been suffering from food poisoning and it might have had an adverse effect on his game. The Norwegian seemed to be playing for a draw from the start and he will now have another fresh attempt on Thursday.
