A simple guide to de-linking your unusable cards from Google Pay

Online payment applications like Google Pay make it much easier to complete transactions through any smartphone. Since managing a Google Pay account is as simple as linking a debit or credit card to it, process of sending and receiving payments becomes conducive. One need t wait to procure cash to carry on with ir regular transactions; y can do it easily via ir phones.

However, credit card linked with Google Pay account may become inaccessible at times- for example, card may get stolen or blocked or expired. In such circumstances, it is imperative for user to remove ir card from ir Google Pay account. If one is unaware of how to remove card from Google Pay, one can follow instructions given below.

Best Method to Remove Card from Google Pay

Removing card through Google Pay website

For this, one must

  • Open Google Pay on a New Tab
  • Sign in with ID and password that y use for all ir Google accounts, including Google Pay.
  • On left-hand side of panel, an option called Payment Methods will be visible. Clicking on that will make all credit cards and debit cards linked with account visible.
  • Select card to be removed, and press on remove option beside it.
  • Click on OK or Remove when a confirmation mess appears.
  • card will be deleted from account.

Removing a card from Google Pay using app

To do this, one must:

  • Launch Google Pay app on ir Android phones. This app can also be downloaded from Google Play and is an easy way to access Google wallet when one is on move.
  • Input PIN that was given when user used Google Pay for first time. This step is required for security reasons in order to ensure that it is user who is trying to access account.
  • In case user does t remember PIN, y can recover it from Google Support website.
  • Click on Credit and Debit cards option. This will reveal all credit cards and debit cards associated with Google Pay account.
  • Select on card that needs to be deleted and click on Remove option.
  • Click on OK when confirmation inquiry appears.

If one faces any trouble deleting  desired card in this manner, user can contact Google Pay customer care on Help Centre of app. Once card is removed, you can substitute it with ar card if you intend to continue using Google Pay app for online payments. process is similar to what you would have done first time round while using this app.
