Airtel Rs 169 prepaid plan
Now, for the uninitiated, Airtel Rs 169 plan was one of the early unlimited plans at a time when Reliance Jio’s unlimited tariffs were dominating. The former tariff plan is valid for 28 days. It also offers free-unlimited calling without levying any IUC on subscribers. Here, Airtel, on its part, had stated that it would keep unlimited calls as it is without subscribers having to bother about IUC that is mandated by TRAI to be 6 paise per minute. These are the charges that one operator pays the other for voice calls.

In related news, the new trend in the Indian telecom sector seems to be the insurance cover. Airtel already has been offering insurance cover with some of its prepaid tariff plans, the latest amongst these include the Rs 249 plan. The Rs 249 scheme falls into the ambit of unlimited bonus recharges. Also, furthering its 4G focus, Airtel has announced the termination of 3G network services in Kerala. If you live in this region, you should be upgrading to 4G at the earliest.
