The newest entrant into the battle royale gaming franchise - Apex Legends which has already been touted by gamers as an intense competitor to the likes of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Fortnite, has now clocked 25 million players. At this point, it is worth noting that it has just been a week since Apex Legends was launched on Microsoft Xbox One along with Sony PS4 and PC.

Also, Apex Legends was launched without the usual fanfare and hungama associated with game (especially the action-adventure battle royale series) launches. Now with this reported development, it only becomes natural to ponder over the aspect about PUBG releasing newer enhancements to the game and thereby potentially attempting to strike chords yet again amongst the gaming community worldwide.

In this regard, it could do a world of good to PUBG to resort to expanding its PUBG Lite - that is now in beta in more regions (even Asian regions such as India) to let loyalists owning lower-end computers check out the core PUBG experiences. At this juncture, it is worth noting that the PUBG Lite beta has expanded to Asian regions such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, along with that of Thailand (from where the beta testing began). Hence, it makes complete sense for PUBG to seed the Lite variant of the game to desktop computers in India as well.

In related Apex Legends updates, Apex Legends came under hearty praise from PUBG; now, this definitely is positive in today’s cut-throat competitive world of gaming. In the end, the battle royale gaming vertical could ultimately come out the winner. PUBG’s praise of Apex Legends could also potentially hint at newer aspects from the former. Do share your thoughts on what you expect from PUBG in the near future in terms of new updates.

Finally, there are reports about Apex Legends being released for Google Android as well as Apple iOS platforms in the near future. The developers/publishers of the game could also have a special Asia focus considering the fact that Asian regions such as India have embraced intuitive battle royale games with open arms.
