Can you turn off suggested posts on Instagram? How to disable the feature?

Instagram introduced  ‘Suggested Posts’ feature in app back in August last year. While feature was launched with all good intentions, it was clearly a major disappointment for most users.  Instagram Suggested Posts feature would appear at bottom part of user feed after a user has scrolled through latest content and start displaying endless posts from or Instagram profiles that a user does t follow.

Robby Stein,  director of product at Instagram, h stated feature was introduced because company wanted to bring best of Instagram to user's feed and display all content that a user will be interested but might t come across. se posts are suggested based on accounts y followed and posts y engd with.

It helps company drive user discovery and engment. However, considering that feature can be highly anying at times, you must be wondering if re is actually a way to turn off suggested posts on Instagram.

Can you turn off Suggested Posts on Instagram?

Instagram doesn't allow users to manually disable or turn off Suggested Posts feature as of w. However, if you are t interested in certain posts, Instagram gives you ability to tell platform that you do t wish to see such posts on your feed. All you need to do is on three-dotted line that appears on top of a post and select option ‘t interested’.

However, you should te that  company has started displaying much lesser suggested posts to users as opposed to when it was first launched. Also, se posts w randomly appear between posts from accounts you actually follow. This will ensure that you are always caught up with all recent posts from accounts you follow. ditionally, you can always choose to scroll down and view older posts inste of having to leave feed after reaching end. However, re is way to completely get rid of suggested posts right w.
