Open Google meet application. Tap on 'New meeting' tile at  top of screen to start a new meeting. application will prompt with three options: get a link to share, start an instant meeting and schedule a meeting. Set up a Google Meets session as per needs. When in a Google Meets session on a phone, follow steps given below to change background.

• Check for viewfinder (live feed of user through front camera)
• In viewfinder, tap on small icon which is for changing background 
• In Background menu, select desired background by going through a list of options provided
• As and when user will on background, same will be applied on live feed displayed through viewfinder and will be displayed to or participants in meeting as well
