CRPF bans PUBG after its addiction among the Jawans affects their operational performance

PUBG addiction among Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans has sparked a new debate. According to reports, CRPF has instructed commanding officers to impose a ban on PUBG Mobile among troops as it affects ir operational and socialising capabilities. CRPF called for a ban on PUBG Mobile after an internal survey showed Jawans were getting addicted to online multiplayer battle royale game.
According to a senior CRPF officer posted in paramilitary force’s Delhi headquarters, PUBG addiction was affecting jawans’ operational capabilities. addiction also led many Jawans to stop socialising with ir fellow Jawans.

“It has also led to sleep deprivation because of reduced physical activity,” officer said.
Of late, PUBG addiction has become topic of heated debates and arguments in India and recent, May 6 order issued by CRPF’s Bihar unit is only going to add fuel to fire.

“It has been reportedly learnt that CRPF troops, young personnel are addicted to PUBG app. It’s a game app and getting se men addicted to it and getting m engd to great extent which is affecting ir ops performance, aggressive and attitudinal issues,” said May 6 order issued by Bihar unit," order said.
“All deputy inspectors-general (DIGs) to ensure and instruct all unit/company personnel under your command to get it deleted/deactivated such apps from ir mobile phones. All company commanders will ensure that this app is deleted in all phones and random check of phones should be done,” it added.

Last month, a class IX student committed suicide after his parents scolded him for playing PUBG Mobile. w, this is extent to which addiction to PUBG has reached in India where parents have often been seen concerned about ir children's addiction to mobile gaming.
